Payroll Consultant and Project Manager

Lucy Key Price, CPP, has been a human resource management system (HRMS) consultant since 1989.  Prior to consulting, she managed finance departments including Payroll / HRIS, Inventory Accounting, and Accounts Payable.  Her extensive experience includes assessment of software solutions, department structure and procedure audits, implementations planning, and project management.  She is an accomplished leader of client staff and consulting teams in a wide variety of industries, including communications, financial institutions, governments, healthcare, hospitality, manufacturing, publishing, retail, transportation, and services.  Lucy is experienced in the development of service proposals, management presentations, and client engagement management.  She has been a mentor and manager of others for more than 40 years.  She is highly analytical, well organized and possesses extensive real-world experience in payroll management and HRMS support.

Lucy Key Price has been a member of the American Payroll Association (APA) since 1984, and served the Houston Local Chapter in many capacities.  She earned her Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation in 1985, and is a past Chairperson of the APA's Certification Board.  Lucy was named the APA's Woman of the Year in 1989.  She has served on the APA's Board of Directors since 1996, and was elected President of the more than 21,000 member APA in May, 2002.

Lucy Key Price was co-author with Debera Salam from 1986 - 2008 of "Principles of Payroll Administration," published by Thomson Reuters.

Lucy Key Price earned her BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston.
